To prevent any mix-ups and give our adoptable dogs their time to shine, we do not allow customer’s dogs.
Yes, due to capacity and safety. However, we may have walk-in availability. Sipping coffee and see a cute pup? Feel free to see a staff member for access to the Tail End. Accompanied minors must have a reservation.
There is no fee, but we do require all guests to complete our sign-in process and have a reservation before entering the Tail End. We are always accepting donations to support Lawrence Humane.
Children between the ages of 12 - 17 years old are allowed to enter the Tail End if they are with a parent or guardian, have an appointment, have had their legal parent or guardian sign a liability on their behalf, and meet our Tail End Guest Entry Requirements. Each child between the ages of 12 - 17 must also be under the supervision of their legal parent or guardian while visiting the Tail End, with one adult per two children, to protect the sanity and safety of the humans and dogs at our cafe.
We will offer specialty days tailored for under 12-year-old visitors. Keep an eye on our social media and website for pop-up announcements for the younger crowd. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children under the age of 12 on a regular basis.
Yes! Our cafe is split into two spaces; one with dogs and one without. The front half of our cafe is a dog-free space where people can spend time with friends and family while enjoying a variety of food and drinks from our cafe. Our Tail End area, separated from the rest of the cafe by a vestibule, is where customers can interact with our adoptable dogs while lounging around in our space or on our back patio area.
We do not have a drive-thru, but we do have a walk-up window!
